The company is headquartered in Ottobrunn. Among IABG’s customers are technology-intensive industries such as the sectors mechanical and plant engineering, IT and telecommunications, rail, aviation and space as well as the automotive industry, but also public clients on local, regional, federal and EU level. The enterprise is group-independent, hardware-neutral and exclusively represents the interests of its customers. IABG was privatised in 1993 and today is an owner-managed company. Liebherr-Aerospace develops and produces in Lindenberg (Germany), Toulouse (France) and Sao Paulo (Brazil). A new Liebherr production site is currently under construction in Nizhny Novgorod (Russia). Liebherr’s "Aerospace & Transportation Systems" division employs almost 4,000 people.

A technology leader worldwide, MTU excels in low-pressure turbines and high-pressure compressors, as well as manufacturing and repair techniques. During the fiscal year 2010 the company generated a revenue of 2.7 billion Euros.
