Bauhaus Luftfahrt at Future Summit in Eltville
Jan 25, 2011 | This year the expertise of Bauhaus Luftfahrt as an international Think Tank for the future of aviation will for the first time be presented at the “Eltviller Zukunftstage” Future Summit. On the occasion of the event, taking place for two days at the end of January and ranging among the most renowned in Germany, Dr. Andreas Kuhlmann, Head of Economics and Transportation at Bauhaus Luftfahrt, will provide the high-ranking attendants from industry and future management with detailed insight to the findings of Bauhaus Luftfahrt in the field of “Future perspectives for sustainable aviation”.
As an interdisciplinary center for creative research, Bauhaus Luftfahrt is following a holistic approach in the development of sustainable solutions for future air transport from the year 2030 onwards. In doing so, not only the socio-economic and political drivers, for example the availability of resources, demographic developments or the global climate change, are taken into account. Moreover, the influence of new concepts and technologies on the complex system of aviation is analyzed in depth with a view to applications in future aircraft. Among others these include radical new aircraft designs, innovative seating and cabin concepts as well as alternative fuels and propulsion systems.
The invitation of Dr. Kuhlmann to speak at the summit in Eltville underlines the outstanding reputation of Bauhaus Luftfahrt as an application-driven Think Tank and creative platform for future research as well as the excellent renown of its employees among top international researchers and technology leaders from a multitude of scientific disciplines.
