The transition to climate-neutral aviation requires major investment in cleaner aircraft development and even greater investment in the supply chains and infrastructure needed to deliver clean energy at scale.

To reduce the risks associated with this transformation, we must look beyond individual technologies and understand the complex interplay between energy supply, network structures, aircraft innovation, and environmental and societal impacts.

The sooner we identify the sources of risk across transition pathways, the faster we can steer aviation toward solutions that are not only cleaner, but also more affordable and resilient.
